10 Hair Tips to help you protect color-treated hair & maintain it’s extra shine and long lasting

It’s important to understand that the chemical structure of dyed hair is different from undyed one, therefore it’s important to use shampoo and conditioner compatible to color treated hair, SLS and sulphate free, which keeps as much moisture in your hair as possible, maintaining its health and shine.

2.Wash your hair only every other day

Try not to get your hair washed every day, that will make your hair color fade away very quickly.

When washing your hair use only cool water. By using hot water you remove color pigmentation Faster and that makes your hair color fade away very quickly.

3. After Coloring, Wait at least 2 Days Before using color protect shampoo

After dyeing your hair , wait 48 hours at the least before washing your hair. This will give your hair color plenty of time to set properly .

4. Use color therapy mask once or twice a week

After shampooing, apply on damp hair, massage from roots to tips, comb your hair and leave on for 5-6 minutes, wash your hair and let it dry naturally. Avoid using hair- dryer, if you must, keep it on the lowest temperature as possible. Remember that dyed hair is more susceptible to damage.

5. Protect your hair from sun damages

Consistent exposure to UV rays cause your color treated hair to fade away. Use a hat to keep your hair protected from sun damages .Also use color therapy products, containing anti-fading protection and revitalizing vitamins formula.

6.Use IRON GUARD leave in cream to protect styling damages

Colored hair is much likely to be damaged from heat - styling tools. Therefore, if you must use flat iron or blow-dryer, use IRON GUARD leave in cream before any styling process.

7. Use clarifying shampoo in-close to dyeing your hair again

Clarifying shampoo cleans scalp from “styling product leftovers “ and helps your hair recieve the hair color process better. In order to avoid hair dry and removal of its natural oil and moisture, use it only next to your dyeing process.

8.Repeat dyeing process every 4-5 weeks

Expose your hair to minimum chemicals as possible. Try not to repeat hair dyeing process more often than every 4-5 weeks , if needed use after care products such as: color stick or spray, to cover your undyed roots.

9.Avoid chlorine on colored hair

When going to the swimming pool, wet your hair and apply a leave in cream.The chemical in chlorine in the pool can cause your hair to shift its tone to green (especially on light colored hair).

10.If your hair is damaged, don’t miss regular trimming

Trim your split ends, so your hair can grow healthier and maintain it’s shine.
